SIR Webinar: Game Theory and The Future of Strategic Decisions in P&C Insurance: Property and casualty (P&C) insurance is a complicated business filled with enough strategic decisions that could fill a business case textbook. Why is one of the most useful vital tools ever created for strategic planning to have little exposure to P&C?

This tool has kept on the fringe of the industry where it is discussed rarely- mainly in academic terms- though some of the thought leaders in insurance think this theory could play a significant role in helping carriers navigate the perplexity of the coming 4th wave of insurance.

What is this theory? It is game theory, and its uses for insurance are numerous, yet it doesn’t seem to have the recognition that it ought to have in today’s market.

This session will explore what game theory is, how game theory has helped the insurance industry in the past, and how it could help insurance become more adaptive in the future.
