The SIR Health Insurance Initiative

As a professional association, the Society of Insurance Research seeks to serve all segments of the insurance industry and membership is open to anyone with an interest in research or innovation by, for, or about the insurance business.

The Society has served this function since its founding in 1970 and now enjoys a strong “brand value” among professionals in property & casualty insurance. In 2009, the Society launched an initiative to increase service to and participation by individuals and companies working with health insurance.

That initiative continues in 2011 with health content on www.sirportal.org, in webinars, and at the Society’s 41st Annual Conference. See the Events page for details of the webinars or Annual Conference as information becomes available.

The Society’s health insurance initiative is guided by the Health Insurance Advisory Panel (HIAP), the members of which are charged with shaping an offering, including topics at SIR events, of value to their industry segment. The members of the HIAP are listed below.
